Tim Williams, Executive Director at Habitat for Humanity of Hall County, has transitioned to a new role

Tim Williams, Executive Director at Habitat for Humanity of Hall County, has transitioned to a new role at the organization and now serves as a member of the Board of Directors and as Chairman of the Construction Oversight Committee. During his tenure at Habitat, the non-profit organization experienced tremendous growth setting new records for home production, developing their first subdivision and doubling the number of families served per year. “Without Tim’s dedication, leadership and extensive knowledge of the building industry, Habitat would not be where it is today. Our mission and fiscal soundness has never been stronger” said Thom Price, Chairman of The Board.

Williams is quoted as saying “It has been an honor and privilege to have spent these years with such a great organization. I have loved my time as Executive Director at Habitat. There is nothing like watching a well deserving, hardworking family receive the keys to their new home. My heart is with Habitat and that will show in my new role on the Board of Directors”.

Williams recently resigned as Executive Director to become the Corporate Compliance and Safety Director with America’s Home Place, a Gainesville based company with 40 offices across the United States. “America’s Home Place sets the bar very high when it comes to construction quality standards and the safety of their employees. It is my job to help train employees to maintain an atmosphere where those standards are met” Williams said.

During his career spanning nearly 30 years in the construction industry, Williams has been a steadfast advocate for affordable home ownership. He currently serves on the GA Department of Community Affairs’ State Codes Advisory Committee and served as that committee’s first private industry chairman. An active member since 1991 of the Gainesville/ Hall County Home Builder’s Association, he served as President in 1994 and as President of the Home Builders Association of Georgia in 2005. Williams was given their highest honor in 2012 by being inducted into the “Georgia Housing Hall of Fame” by the Home Builder’s Association of Georgia.

“We are excited to have Tim on board. His proven leadership, wealth of knowledge and experience will serve us well,” states Keith Brown, Vice President of Construction for America’s Home Place.

Habitat for Humanity of Hall County’s Board of Directors has established a search committee to identify a new Executive Director.   They hope to name a new ED by early Fall.   Questions or inquiries by potential candidates should be sent via email to operationsdirector@habitathallcounty.org.
